Current owner since 2004, Wayne Evans and his wife Melissa, have established cyclemania as a leader in bicycle retail. Wayne has been racing for over 18 years and has raced internationally as well as within Australia.He stems from a racing family whereby his father Glyn Evans was a South African champion and rode on the continent against some of the best and his Brother, Bryan, raced for a Dutch team. Wayne has just recently returned from Sydney where he undertook his Level 2 coaching accredtiation. At present he is the assistant coach to Darryl Benson at the West Australian Institute of Sport, a South West regional development coach, a JETS ( junior elite talent squad ) coach, a Northern Districts coach, and a Director in Team WA Plan B. Wayne also coaches privately with a large number of clients under his guideance. He has coached and managed riders to the National Team and is still currently the coach of riders like Adam Semple and Ben King. All the staff at Cyclemania are competitive cyclists and out of a total staff of 10 there are at present 5 current State team Members. Nick Gurden is the store manager and has also undertaken his level 0 coaching accreditation. Cyclemania is open 7 days a week and stocks many brands of bikes, all parts, clothing and accessories as well as servicing and repairs.
